Visit Novi Sad the town which lies on the river Danube about 80 km north of Belgrade. This city is the capital of Vojvodina. It is the second largest and most visited city in Serbia after Belgrade also has a very long and interesting history. As a capital of the whole region of Vojvodina Novi Sad is big university center.
The most famous attraction is the Petrovaradin Fortress, one of the biggest and most preserved forts in Europe. Novi Sad is also well known as one of the best host city of the best European music festivals – Exit. Visit Novi Sad and explore the city of narrow and vivid streets full of pannonian spirit and hospitality. During the Exit festival Novi Sad hosts more than 10000 visitors from all around the world and many of them comes back year after year. Novi Sad was proclaimed in Brussels the European Capital of Culture for the year 2021.
When you visit Novi sad you must also go to the a small and significant town of Sremski Karlovci. Sremski Karlovci are considered as one of the most beautiful baroque cities with first Serbian Gymnasium. Area around Sremski Karlovci and slopes of the Fruska Gora mountain are full of vineyards so there we can find a lot of small wine cellars were you can taste some of the best wines in Serbia. The most famous kind of wine in Sremski Karlovci and whole region is Bermet. Bermet is a desert wine with strong and specific taste thanks to more than 22 different types of herbs inside. Area of Sremski Karlovci is full of small production family wineries, each of them has its own unique recipe for mixture of herbs inside of Bermet. Legend says that some of Bermet wines were served on Titanic.

Sremski Karlovci
The trip will take about 45 minutes and after our arrival at Sremski Karlovci we will go to city center for a short walking tour. We will see some of the most beautiful and significant buildings of the town.
Oldest Serbian Gymnasium and Orthodox Cathedral
We will pass by the oldest Serbian Gymnasium and the famous The Four Lions Fountain. We will go straight to the as well as the old Catholic Cathedral. After this 30 minutes walk we will take a break at one of the wine cellars where we will taste some of the beautiful local wines.
Novi Sad and Petrovaradin Fortress.
After the winery we will go to Novi Sad and after 30 minutes we will arrive at the gates of the Petrovaradin Fortress. We will take a tour of the fortress from which you will have a stunning view of the city. From the fort we will go the city center and take a short tour. You will have some free time for your individual activities .
Returning to Belgrade around 18h
We will meet again at the agreed time and go back to Belgrade. Estimated time of arrival in Belgrade is around 18h.
